President Ilham Aliyev Engages in Diplomatic Discussions with Turkish Vice President

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev hosted a delegation led by Vice President of the Republic of Trkiye Cevdet Yilmaz. The meeting underscored the strong bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Trkiye.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Vice President Yilmaz delivered greetings from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Aliyev, who reciprocated by sending his regards to the Turkish President. During the discussions, Yilmaz reiterated Trkiye's unwavering support for Azerbaijan, highlighting that this stance is a key principle of the Shusha Declaration. In response, President Aliyev affirmed Azerbaijan's steadfast support for Trkiye.

The meeting celebrated the robust and strategic partnership between the two nations, acknowledging that high-level reciprocal visits play a crucial role in enhancing bilateral ties. They discussed the significance of the upcoming meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice President of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku, viewing it as a platform to strengthen cooperation within the organization.

Vice President Yilmaz expressed appreciation for the participation of the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the meeting and extended gratitude to Azerbaijan for hosting. He also praised the successful organization of the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States in Gabala the previous year, noting the positive outcomes and successful chairmanship by Azerbaijan.

Throughout the meeting, both parties deliberated on future prospects for bilateral cooperation, regional developments, and other mutual interests.
