Baku: The Kyrgyz government has identified the Zangezur corridor as a strategic extension of the China-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan railway line. This perspective was shared by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, during a meeting of prime ministers from the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member countries in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kasymaliev highlighted the importance of unity amid growing global instability. He emphasized that recent OTS summits demonstrate the organization's emerging influence in the Eurasian region, bringing together states with historical and cultural ties. During the meeting, the Kyrgyz side proposed several new projects for the Turkic Investment Fund, underscoring the necessity for digitalization in international cargo transportation to strengthen transport links within the organization. Kasymaliev reiterated that Kyrgyzstan could play a pivotal role in the Trans-Caspian Middle Corridor, aligning with the Kyrgyz President's view that the Zangezur corridor logically continues the China-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan railway line.
