Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed his congratulations to the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the President’s message highlighted the significance of Eid al-Adha as a symbol of spiritual unity and solidarity among Muslims worldwide.
The President conveyed his heartfelt wishes to his compatriots, emphasizing that Eid al-Adha is one of Islam’s principal holidays, representing guidance, equality, brotherhood, and selflessness. He noted that the holiday’s ceremonies reinforce values of humanism and kindness within Azerbaijani society and are celebrated with high spirits and solemnity each year.
In his message, President Aliyev mentioned that prayers during Eid al-Adha focus on the progress of the state, as well as the well-being and peace of the Azerbaijani people.
