Baku: President Ilham Aliyev announced that the gasification level across Azerbaijan, excluding the liberated territories, has reached 96 percent. He made this remark during a meeting focused on agricultural issues, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that the country has no issues with electricity supply, achieving self-sufficiency and establishing a significant export capacity. He highlighted the construction of numerous highways, intercity roads, and rural roads as part of the infrastructure development. Additionally, large water reservoirs such as Takhtakorpu, Shamkirchay, and Goytepe have been completed, with ongoing reconstruction of canals enhancing water management.
The President noted that these infrastructure developments have facilitated rapid regional and agricultural progress. This progress has led to a substantial rise in agricultural production across various sectors. He mentioned several state programs targeting viticulture, cotton production, hazelnut cultivation, and citrus farming, which have significantly boosted these industries.
