Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced significant investments in renewable energy sectors, including wind and solar power plants, during a press statement with President of the European Council, Antonio Costa. This development aligns with Azerbaijan's current role as a key natural gas exporter to 16 countries, enhancing its contribution to global energy security.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the importance of the European market, which constitutes half of Azerbaijan's total gas exports, with potential for further growth. He highlighted ongoing investment in renewable energy sectors, stating that significant advancements are expected in the next 5-6 years.
