Nakhchivan: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, during his 17th visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, provided insights into various developmental projects and strategic initiatives in an interview with Azerbaijan Television.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the comprehensive development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He highlighted the significant events during his visit, noting that each of his visits has been crucial and has yielded important results. The President underscored the successful implementation of numerous projects over the years, ensuring the region's socio-economic advancement. He stated that the recent events were a continuation of previous accomplishments and assured that necessary decisions would be made to sustain rapid development in Nakhchivan.
Defense potential has been a key priority, with significant work done to strengthen Nakhchivan's military capabilities. The President pointed out the establishment of the Separate Combined Arms Army and the recent presentation of the Battle Flag, signifying the region's military strength. The focus on security is integral due to Nakhchivan's geographical isolation from mainland Azerbaijan.
President Aliyev also detailed the economic initiatives, such as the establishment of the Nakhchivan Industrial Park, which is set to boost job creation and industrial development. The park will include a 300-megawatt Thermal Power Plant, enhancing the region's energy capacity.
