In a congratulatory letter to U.S. President Donald Trump on his 80th birthday, Aliyev acknowledged Trump's crucial role in establishing and deepening this strategic partnership.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev mentioned that the Charter on Strategic Partnership, which was initiated during a historic meeting at the White House in August of the previous year and completed six months later during the visit of U.S. Vice President JD Vance to Azerbaijan, has significantly elevated the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States. The letter underscores the importance of this charter in enhancing cooperation and mutual understanding between the two nations.
