Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed satisfaction over the progressive development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of the Congo. In a congratulatory letter to President Denis Sassou-Nguesso, marking the 65th anniversary of Congo’s independence, President Aliyev emphasized the positive trajectory of bilateral relations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev noted that the visits of President Sassou-Nguesso to Azerbaijan last year significantly contributed to the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted that the friendly relations established between Azerbaijan and the Congo have laid a solid foundation for further collaboration in various sectors, including political, economic, and humanitarian areas.

President Aliyev conveyed his confidence in the continued joint efforts to enhance Azerbaijan-Congo relations, both bilaterally and multilaterally. He extended his best wishes to President Sassou-Nguesso for health, happiness, and success in his endeavors and wished the people of Congo lasting peace and prosperity.
