Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has announced that natural gas production in Azerbaijan is experiencing growth and is expected to continue on this trajectory. The statement was made during his address at the Azerbaijan-Latvia Business Forum, where he emphasized the ongoing efforts to diversify Azerbaijan's export markets despite the challenges associated with increasing gas production.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted that a significant portion of the gas produced in Azerbaijan is exported. He stressed the importance of aligning the country's non-oil- and gas-related industries with the expanding production capabilities and the rising demand in international markets, particularly in Europe. The president's remarks underscore Azerbaijan's strategic focus on enhancing its export portfolio while maintaining its role as a key energy supplier.
