President Ilham Aliyev Highlights Strong Cultural Ties with Turkmenistan

Baku: Relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are built on a solid foundation of historical ties, cultural connections, and spiritual bonds, President Ilham Aliyev stated during a press statement with Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The two leaders emphasized the importance of cultural exchanges in strengthening their bilateral relationship.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the recent cultural events that underscore the robust connection between the two nations. Earlier this month, Azerbaijan hosted the Days of Culture in both Ashgabat and Arkadag. Similarly, last year, cultural figures from Turkmenistan participated in the Days of Culture held in Baku and Ganja, reinforcing the cultural linkages.

President Aliyev also mentioned the symbolic relationship between twin cities, with Baku and Ashgabat, as well as Arkadag and Fuzuli, serving as examples. This twinning signifies the deep-rooted unity and shared objectives of both countries. Both leaders expressed a commitment to enhancing cooperation and expanding the scope of their interactions to foster deeper ties.
