Azerbaijan Participates in Global Offshore Wind 2026 Conference in Manchester

Manchester: Azerbaijan was represented at the "Global Offshore Wind 2026" international conference held in Manchester, UK, from June 16-17. Fagan Abdurahmanov, Deputy Director of the State Renewable Energy Agency, led the Azerbaijani delegation at the event. The delegation engaged in exhibition sessions and panel discussions, gaining insights into the operations of various international companies in the offshore wind energy sector. Additionally, they conducted extensive networking meetings on the sidelines of the event.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, a dedicated event was organized for the Azerbaijani delegation as part of their visit. The event featured presentations from leading UK offshore wind supply chain companies, including GE Vernova, Tekmar, Kinewell, Marsh UK, ABL Group (OWC), Ryse Energy, CM Energy Services, Briggs Marine, Haskoning, Xlinks, ASCO World, JDR Cables, Subsea7, Wood, and Worley. During the gathering, Fagan Abdurahmanov delivered a presentation titled "Azerbaijan's Renewable Energy Transition and Vision 2030," offering insights into the country's offshore wind energy potential, ongoing initiatives, and investment opportunities.

Following the conference in Manchester, the Azerbaijani delegation traveled to Wales to visit the Gwynt y M´r and Rhyl Flats offshore wind farms owned by RWE. At the Port of Mostyn, as part of a specialized program, participants were introduced to offshore wind farm management systems, offshore substations, and daily operational processes.
