President Ilham Aliyev Hosts Delegation from Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, led by Chair Betsy Berns Korn, on February 9. During the meeting, previous interactions between President Aliyev and the Conference were warmly remembered. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Betsy Berns Korn expressed her gratitude to President Aliyev for the reception and her pleasure in leading a significant delegation to Azerbaijan. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation, considering Azerbaijan's strategic importance and its robust ties with both the United States and Israel. Betsy Berns Korn also congratulated President Aliyev on the progress made in advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, particularly highlighting the leadership shown by the Azerbaijani President and the efforts of the U.S. President. President Aliyev acknowledged the congratulations and emphasized the role of U.S. President Donald Trump in achieving t hese results. He noted that both Azerbaijani and Armenian sides have adapted to living in peace, underscoring that sustained peace and stability would significantly contribute to regional development, especially through initiatives like the TRIPP and other connectivity projects. President Aliyev remarked on the successful development of Azerbaijan-U.S. relations since Donald Trump's return to power, citing multiple meetings with the U.S. President over the past six months as a historical first in bilateral relations. The meeting also acknowledged the tolerant environment in Azerbaijan and the state's care towards Jews and other communities. The discussion highlighted the development of Azerbaijan-U.S. relations and the successful cooperation between the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and Azerbaijan, emphasizing its role in expanding bilateral relations between Azerbaijan, the U.S., and Israel.
