Baku: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan visited the Baku Olympic Stadium to review ongoing preparations for the upcoming COP29 conference, a key global summit on climate change. According to Trend News Agency, Assistant to the President Anar Alakbarov provided a briefing on the current progress at the venue. The construction and installation work is almost complete, and the site is expected to be handed over to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on schedule. During his visit, President Aliyev received updates on various aspects of the preparation, including the organization of the World Leaders' Climate Action Summit, which is set to occur in the early days of the conference.
