Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Lyu Jun, Chairman of China Datang Corporation Ltd., to discuss prospects for cooperation. The meeting, held on November 12, underscored the significance of the visit by the Chinese delegation, providing a platform for dialogue on future collaborations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the presence of numerous Chinese companies in Azerbaijan and noted the increase in Chinese tourists following the introduction of a visa-free regime between the two nations. He also reflected on his recent state and working visits to China, which he stated have further expanded the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China.

Lyu Jun expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and remarked on the positive impression Baku’s development had on the delegation. He also noted the friendly attitude they encountered in Azerbaijan.

The discussions included potential cooperation between Azerbaijan and China Datang Corporation Ltd. in areas such as energy transition, green energy, and green industrial park projects.
