President Ilham Aliyev Meets Kazakh Ministers to Enhance Bilateral Ties

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Yermek Kosherbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Nurlan Sauranbayev, Minister of Transport, on April 8. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, highlighting the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood that underpins their interactions. He noted the importance of reciprocal visits by the heads of state and the discussions and decisions that have strengthened mutual cooperation.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev expressed optimism about the joint investment fund's potential, acknowledging that several projects are under development. He also mentioned the prospects for joint investments in third countries. The President conveyed confidence in the success of the Kazakh Ministers' visit to Azerbaijan.

Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev, expressing gratitude for the reception, conveyed greetings from the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. President Aliyev reciprocated the greetings and noted the high esteem he holds in Kazakhstan.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the development of relations in areas such as politics, economy, transport, logistics, investment, energy, and green energy, and acknowledged opportunities for further expanding cooperation. Discussions also included the Middle Corridor, the Trans-Caspian Green Energy Corridor, and fiber-optic line projects, underlining the successful cooperation between the two nations.

The meeting also touched on regional cooperation, including the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the TRIPP project through Armenian territory. The successful partnership within international organizations and other mutual interests were also discussed.
