Baku: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has articulated a strategic vision for the nation to emerge as a regional hub in Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology. In a recent interview with local television channels, President Aliyev stated that one of the country's primary objectives is to harness its potential to establish itself as a central player in the AI sector.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the President emphasized Azerbaijan's collaborative efforts with international partners to develop data centers. He highlighted that there are ongoing projects focused on establishing a cybersecurity center and enhancing the skills of Azerbaijani specialists. This includes sending numerous experts for training abroad while also facilitating domestic training programs. President Aliyev underscored the importance of connectivity and expressed confidence in Azerbaijan's capability to become a hub for AI and IT. He also identified American companies as key partners in pursuing this technological ambition.
