Baku: President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the progress of Azerbaijani media, highlighting its growing credibility both domestically and internationally. During a meeting with participants of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, he remarked on the significant achievements of the media in the country.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev praised the Azerbaijani media for effectively protecting national interests. He noted its success in countering baseless accusations against Azerbaijan with solid arguments, thorough analysis, and factual evidence. The president mentioned that the media not only defends national interests but also takes an offensive stance when necessary, likening this strategy to the adage in sports that the best defense is a good offense.

President Aliyev further emphasized the media’s readiness to respond to any slanderous or hostile campaigns, underlining the importance of this capability in the current media landscape.
