President Ilham Aliyev Praises Special Role of President of Uzbekistan in Attracting Investments to Garabagh

Baku: Speaking during a joint press statement with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev emphasized the special role of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in attracting investments to Garabagh.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the contributions of Uzbekistan in facilitating economic development in the region. He acknowledged the initial assistance provided by Uzbekistan, which included the construction of a 960-seat school in Fuzuli named after Mirzo Ulugbek and investments in a garment production facility in Khankendi. Additionally, President Aliyev pointed out that the first major industrial enterprise in Garabagh was also linked to Uzbekistan's efforts.

President Aliyev's remarks underscore the collaborative efforts between the two nations in advancing economic opportunities in Garabagh. The investments are seen as a significant step towards fostering development and revitalizing the region's infrastructure.
