Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has announced that establishing a clean environment and promoting a 'green growth' country have been identified as one of the five key national priorities for Azerbaijan's socio-economic development through 2030. The statement was made during his address on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that targeted efforts are being made to improve green spaces and forest areas, ensure the efficient use of water resources and sustainable energy sources, and develop modern waste management infrastructure.
