President Ilham Aliyev Receives Credentials from Israel’s New Ambassador

Baku: On August 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of Ronen Krausz, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Azerbaijan. The ambassador presented his credentials to the head of state, followed by a conversation with President Aliyev.

According to Trend News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the expanding relations between Azerbaijan and Israel across various fields. He conveyed confidence that the friendly ties would deepen further in the future. The President highlighted the broad opportunities available for developing Azerbaijan-Israel cooperation.

The President also noted that Ambassador Krausz’s arrival occurs during a historic period marked by progress in the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, supported by the United States. He emphasized the significance of these developments for ensuring regional peace and security and ending confrontation. President Aliyev underscored that these changes open new opportunities for connectivity and interaction in Azerbaijan and the broader South Caucasus region.

President Aliyev expressed hope for the continued active operation of Israeli companies in Azerbaijan, wishing the ambassador success in his duties. Ambassador Ronen Krausz, in turn, expressed his honor in presenting his credentials and happiness at returning to Baku, recalling his previous diplomatic service in Azerbaijan from 2010 to 2015.

The ambassador emphasized the strategic nature of Israel-Azerbaijan relations and the genuine friendship between the leaders and peoples of the two countries. He expressed gratitude for the care shown to the Jewish community in Azerbaijan, noting his visits to the Krasnaya Sloboda settlement in Guba and his familiarity with the conditions created for the community.
