Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for his post on the Truth Social platform, APA reports. The head of state made this statement on his X social media account.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev thanked President Donald Trump for his kind words on Truth Social, acknowledging Trump’s significant role in advancing the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and hosting the historic Washington Summit. Aliyev highlighted Trump as the architect of the friendship and emerging strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States, expressing his appreciation for their friendship.

On September 16, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social account about the historic meeting held on August 8 in Washington with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. He mentioned that it was an honor to have contributed to settling the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia and to have developed friendships with President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
