President Ilham Aliyev Thanks Kyrgyz Counterpart for Supporting Karabakh Reconstruction

Bishkek: President Ilham Aliyev thanked the President of Kyrgyzstan for his support in the reconstruction of Karabakh, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in a press statement with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, APA's correspondent dispatched to Kyrgyzstan reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the collaborative efforts between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan during his visit. He noted the significant opening of the 'Manas' school in the Aghdam district, a contribution from the Kyrgyz people to aid in the reconstruction of Karabakh, which had endured occupation for three decades. Aliyev emphasized the shared history and cultural ties between the two nations, marked by the joint inauguration of a monument to Chingiz Aitmatov and a park in his name in Baku.

Aliyev also referenced the meeting held near the house where Chingiz Aitmatov once lived, surrounded by walls adorned with his portrait, symbolizing the mutual desire for closer relations. He recalled the previous inauguration of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Park in Bishkek, highlighting it as an example of ongoing cooperation.

The discussions also included humanitarian ties, cultural events, and the Culture Days of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, which foster a positive atmosphere and underline the closeness of the two nations, bound by common roots, as stated by President Aliyev.
