Abu dhabi: President Ilham Aliyev remarked on the symbolic nature of the award ceremony in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the significance of the location in the context of diplomatic negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. During the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity ceremony, he emphasized the pivotal role Abu Dhabi played in the final stage of these negotiations last July, preceding the historic summit in Washington.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev acknowledged the support of Sheikh Mohamed in reaching a final peace agreement in Abu Dhabi, which was later formalized in Washington. He expressed gratitude for receiving the prestigious award and appreciated the efforts of those who contributed to the peace process.
