President Ilham Aliyev Unveils Central Bank’s New Administrative Building in Baku

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the new building of the Central Bank, APA reports. Chairman of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov briefed the head of state on the conditions created in the building.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the new building, located on Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Baku, was designed in line with urban planning principles, combining high functionality with advanced technological features. President Ilham Aliyev viewed an exhibition detailing the conceptual approach, design elements, and technological evolution of the nation's banknotes through modern display methods. The exhibition highlights the history, developmental stages, design elements, and security features of the national banknotes.

The 35-story building accommodates a workforce of 1,300 and includes conference and press halls, along with various meeting and training spaces. It was designed with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusion to ensure individuals with physical disabilities can navigate the space comfortably and safely. The facility includes 25 fully equipped rooms for hosting official meetings and gatherings.

Constructed to meet standards of quality, safety, and sustainability, the building integrates advanced technology and modern information systems throughout. A dedicated recreation area supports employee well-being, while a dining hall can accommodate 340 people. The facility also features a 240-seat conference hall for a variety of events and presentations.

The building's multimedia facade enhances its visual identity at night, supporting diverse lighting scenarios and projections. Motion-sensing LED technology in the territory and building's lighting significantly reduces power consumption during daylight hours.
