President Ilham Aliyev Welcomes New Dutch Ambassador to Azerbaijan

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev welcomed Marianne de Jong, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as she presented her credentials on October 16.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the promising opportunities for collaboration between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands. He recalled his recent meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof in Copenhagen, where they discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors. President Aliyev expressed optimism about the increasing presence of Dutch companies in Azerbaijan and their potential growth in the future.

Marianne de Jong expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and conveyed King Willem-Alexander’s greetings to President Aliyev. The Azerbaijani President reciprocated by sending his regards to the Dutch King and Prime Minister.

The new ambassador emphasized the Netherlands’ intention to foster strong political and economic ties with Azerbaijan, expressing confidence in the mutual benefits of such collaboration.
