Gabala: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), in Gabala. During their meeting, they reminisced about their previous encounters.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Secretary General extended his congratulations to President Aliyev on the outcomes achieved in Washington regarding the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, where U.S. President Donald Trump was also present. President Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the congratulations.

Kubanychbek Omuraliev also expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s support in boosting the international prestige of the OTS and enhancing cooperation among its member and observer states. The discussion emphasized the forthcoming 12th Summit of the OTS Council of Heads of State, which will take place in Gabala under the theme ‘Regional Peace and Security.’ The summit aims to address key issues on the organization’s agenda.

President Aliyev conveyed his belief that the summit would play a crucial role in strengthening friendship, solidarity, and partnership within the Turkic world. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on the future cooperation prospects between Azerbaijan and the OTS.
