The Russian media has widely covered the 9th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand and the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva in the event.

The Russian news agencies TASS, “Interfax”, “Vestnik Kavkaza” , “SNG.fm” radio, “News.ru” portal posted articles highlighting the expansion of the union of Turkic states, President Ilham Aliyev`s speech at the Summit, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva`s visits to the “Illusions of Time” exhibition and “Eternal City” historical and ethnographic complex.
