Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has accused the Council of Europe of effectively supporting the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia during a meeting in Baku with participants of various international conferences. President Aliyev criticized major powers, including the co-chair countries of the Minsk Group, for allegedly attempting to obscure Armenia's actions. He noted that Armenia did not permit foreign observers to enter the occupied territories.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the inaction of international organizations in response to the situation. He pointed out that the United Nations, despite its Security Council having adopted four resolutions demanding Armenia's withdrawal from the occupied territories, remained silent on the matter. Additionally, he accused the OSCE and the Council of Europe of failing to address the issue adequately. Furthermore, he claimed that the European Parliament has consistently supported Armenia, which he referred to as the aggressor, and continues to do so.
