President of Azerbaijan Highlights Strong Financial Position at Business Forum

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has announced that the nation's currency and gold reserves exceed its foreign debt by more than 18 times. The statement was made during his speech at the Azerbaijan-Latvia business forum, emphasizing the country's robust financial standing.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted that Azerbaijan's foreign debt amounts to 6.1% of its GDP. He expressed confidence that the country could potentially eliminate its foreign commitments within a few months. Despite the favorable financial metrics, President Aliyev noted the ongoing demand for additional investments to further strengthen the nation's economy.
