Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has highlighted the strong bond between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, referring to Pakistan as one of Azerbaijan’s closest friends and brothers. During a press conference with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, he emphasized the successful development of people-to-people contacts between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev revealed that Azerbaijan has already acquired defense industry equipment from Pakistan and expressed satisfaction with the quality of this equipment. Further discussions were held on the potential for joint manufacturing of defense industry items, marking another important sector of cooperation between the two countries.
