President of Azerbaijani Taekwondo Federation awarded by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea

President of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation (ATF) Kamaladdin Heydarov held a meeting through video conference with President of the World Taekwondo Federation Chungwon Choue, the ATF told APA.

Delivering a speech during the meeting, President of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation (ATF) Kamaladdin Heydarov brought to attention that under the Order of President Ilham Aliyev, the nation of Azerbaijan celebrates the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev this year with great solemnity.

President of the World Taekwondo Federation Chungwon Choue stressed with satisfaction that taekwondo has a unique place among various sports in Azerbaijan and highlighted the successful cooperation relations with the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation for many years. In this context, he noted that the world championship held in Baku in 2023 was organized at a high level, and congratulated the president of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation, Kamaladdin Heydarov, for the award.

At the meeting, a wide range of views were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.

Note that every year on September 4 – Taekwondo Day, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea honors those who have contributed to the sport of Taekwondo. This year, according to the recommendation of the president of the World Taekwondo Federation, President of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation Kamaladdin Heydarov and founder of the World Taekwondo Grand Slam, were awarded this award.
