Astana: President Ilham Aliyev has announced plans to discuss advancing Azerbaijani-Kazakh relations during an upcoming meeting. The discussions are set to take place in Astana during the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, following its inaugural session last year which coincided with the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the significance of the Supreme Interstate Council as a platform for exploring mutually beneficial cooperation. The talks aim to bolster the already strong ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, with a focus on escalating their relationship to new heights.

The President also noted that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan maintain fruitful cooperation within multilateral frameworks, engaging actively in international and regional organizations such as the United Nations (UN), the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). He emphasized that both countries consistently support each other in the international arena, sharing aligned positions on numerous issues.
