“Last year, 9 billion cubic meters of natural gas was exported from Azerbaijan to Trkiye. Based on the agreements reached, we plan to increase the volume of gas, including natural gas going from Trkiye to Europe, which is an important issue of energy security for many countries of the continent,” said President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in a joint press statement with President of the Republic of Trkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, APA reports.

“We are witnessing the same in transport. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway should be put into full operation in the middle of this year in order to increase the volume of cargo from 1 million tons to 5 million tons,” noted head of state.
