Budapest: A meeting of diplomatic aides of the heads of state and government from member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held at the initiative of Hungary. Azerbaijan was represented by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, H. Hajiyev shared on his X account that the invitation from Hungary led to a successful meeting in Budapest within the framework of the OTS at the level of assistants to the heads of state and government. He reported that during the meeting, the outcomes of the Gabala Summit of the OTS were reviewed. The discussions highlighted Azerbaijan's chairmanship priorities, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in the field of security in the context of current global challenges.
H. Hajiyev reiterated President Ilham Aliyev's previous statements at OTS Summits about the significance of the Turkic world. He noted that the young demography, rich natural resources, energy potential, and strategic geopolitical position of the Turkic world, including key transport routes, hold a significant place in the Eurasian continent. The OTS has evolved into an important geopolitical center.
Within the framework of the meeting, H. Hajiyev also engaged in several other meetings.
