Baku: Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, has noted a pattern of targeted campaigns against Azerbaijan coinciding with global-scale events hosted by the country. He emphasized that these campaigns, orchestrated by both domestic and international forces, have seen a reduction in recent times.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hajiyev attributed the decline in these campaigns to a decrease in financial resources available to the groups involved. He stated that the synchronized efforts of these groups have been hampered by a reduction in the number of entities providing them with funding. Hajiyev mentioned that the sources of these grants and their purposes are well-known, despite any denials.

Hajiyev further pointed out that while such campaigns have not ceased entirely, their scale has diminished due to fewer grant providers. He specifically mentioned USAID, suggesting that while it is presented as an aid organization, it is involved in activities of a different nature. Hajiyev also alluded to several organizations currently operating within Azerbaijan.
