Khankendi: Elchin Yusubov, the President's special representative in Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, along with Aydin Karimov, the President's special representative in the Shusha district, have called on private investors to invest in the liberated territories, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aydin Karimov made the appeal during an event titled 'Post-conflict urban planning: Restoring destroyed identity and rebuilding an integrated future,' held at the Azerbaijan pavilion as part of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13). He emphasized that as urban development progresses, the financial requirements also rise. In the past five years, the Azerbaijani government has allocated nearly 14 billion dollars towards restoration and reconstruction efforts in these areas. Karimov highlighted that private entrepreneurs have already invested between 25,000 to 30,000 in Shusha, with favorable conditions established for further investments.
Elchin Yusubov discussed the extensive work already conducted in the region, stating that the government has implemented all necessary infrastructure measures. He stressed the ongoing efforts to attract businesspeople to the liberated territories, noting that future job growth will be driven by private investments. Thousands of applications have already been submitted, with investors showing confidence in property-related matters. The state's groundwork has set the stage for companies to make their investment decisions.
