Shusha: Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Serdar Berdimuhamedov recently examined the bullet-riddled busts of Azerbaijan's prominent figures in Shusha. On June 23, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the President of Turkmenistan reviewed the busts of Natavan, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibeyli, which stand as symbols of cultural heritage.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Berdimuhamedov was briefed on the history of these busts, which suffered damage during the occupation period. They were taken to Armenia and nearly destroyed as scrap metal. The busts were salvaged due to the efforts of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. After being stored at the Azerbaijan National Art Museum in Baku, they have now been restored to their original locations in Shusha, following the city's liberation.
