Baku: Private sector investments in the non-oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan have seen a significant increase of 17 percent in 2025, amounting to nearly 4.2 billion manats. This development was announced by Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Minister of Economy, Elnur Aliyev, during the presentation ceremony of the ‘Dayag’ award.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the share of the private sector in the economy has reached 81.4 percent. This growth is attributed to the application of advanced approaches, public-private partnership mechanisms, and ongoing reforms. Aliyev highlighted the implementation of the Middle Corridor project, which connects Asia and Europe, and emphasized the expansion of partnerships with regional countries, including Central Asian states.
Aliyev further elaborated on the establishment of investment funds such as the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund, Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company, Azerbaijan-Oman Direct Investment Fund, and Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Investment Fund. These initiatives are paving the way for high-impact projects in various sectors, including industry, innovation, green energy, and transport.
