Production of Automotive Fuel Sees Significant Increase in Azerbaijan

Baku: In January-February of this year, the total production value in the oil products manufacturing sector in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,029.1 million manats, representing a 15.6% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this data comes from the monthly report of the State Statistics Committee.

The report highlights a notable rise in the production of several key oil products. Specifically, gas oil, commonly known as diesel fuel, saw a production increase of 19.2%. Kerosene production also experienced a significant rise of 18.3%, while automotive gasoline production increased by 3.3%.

However, not all products followed this upward trend. During the reporting period, a decline was observed in the production of petroleum coke, which decreased by 6.4%. Similarly, petroleum bitumen production fell by 8.1%, and the production of lubricating oils saw a substantial decrease of 31.9%.

This data provides insight into the fluctuating dynamics of Azerbaijan’s oil products sector, highlighting both growth in fuel production and declines in other areas.
