Baku: In Azerbaijan, during January to September this year, products worth 1,780.8 million manats were produced in the fields of the chemical industry, pharmaceutical products, and the manufacture of rubber and plastic products.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee indicates that the production of pharmaceutical products increased by 96.8%, rubber and plastic products by 9.7%, and chemical industry products by 5.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

It is reported that among chemical industry products, polyethylene production increased by 5.5%, ethylene by 3.1%, and urea by 2.6%. In the rubber and plastic products category, plastic bags and sacks other than polyethylene saw an increase of 82.9%, plastic rods, sticks, and profiles rose by 33.7%, and plastic bottles, flasks, and similar items grew by 17.2%.
