Punjab Chief Minister Praises Azerbaijani President’s Vision for Sustainable Development

Baku: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her admiration for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's vision on sustainable development during the Leaders' Session at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Baku. She highlighted the significance of Baku's modern urban infrastructure and its ancient city's reflection of shared civilizational ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Maryam Nawaz Sharif conveyed greetings from her father, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and current Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with the love of the Pakistani people. She expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government and President Aliyev for their hospitality and praised his leadership in transforming Baku and Azerbaijan into a globally connected, dynamic place.

The Chief Minister emphasized the deep-rooted relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, mentioning the mutual trust and respect between former leaders Nawaz Sharif and Heydar Aliyev. She described the enduring friendship as a defining strength of bilateral relations and expressed her pride in visiting Baku, feeling a sense of home due to the strong ties between the two nations.
