Baku: Punjab Minister of Human Rights and Minorities, Ramesh Singh Arora, highlighted the need for accurate and objective coverage of minority issues in India during an international conference in Baku. The conference, titled 'Racism and Violence against Sikhs and Other National Minorities in India: Reality on the Ground,' provided a platform for discussing the challenges faced by minority communities in India.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Arora emphasized the historical pain experienced by the Sikh community due to the events of the 1980s. He described these events as deeply painful and distressing, reflecting the long-lasting impact on the community. Arora further addressed the ongoing issues of racism and violence directed against gender and other minorities in India, calling for a more accurate portrayal of these realities.
