Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree simplifying the visa regime for Georgian citizens, allowing them to work and stay in Russia for extended periods without a visa.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the new policy will enable Georgian citizens to reside in Russia for more than 90 days without requiring a visa, a significant shift in the country’s previous visa regulations.
The decree is seen as a move to facilitate labor mobility and improve bilateral relations between Russia and Georgia, which have faced diplomatic challenges in recent years.
