Baku: Ramil Iskandarli, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, emphasized the pivotal role of empowering civil society organizations and young people in creating more sustainable and people-oriented cities. He shared these insights during an event titled 'Youth and Civil Society Leadership in the Development of Sustainable and Inclusive Cities,' part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Iskandarli highlighted the importance of involving young people as active participants rather than mere beneficiaries in urban policy-making. He mentioned that when youth are given the opportunity to influence urban transformation, they take ownership of the processes, leading to more effective outcomes.

Ramil Iskandarli further explained that the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum is committed to fostering international civil society cooperation. He underlined their dedication to supporting platforms that facilitate the exchange of experiences, ideas, and solutions through partnerships and global cooperation initiatives, particularly within the framework of Global South cooperation.
