Reception for Azerbaijani Journalists Held at Kyrgyz President’s State Residence

Baku: A reception was held for Azerbaijani journalists visiting Kyrgyzstan at the Kyrgyz President's State Residence No. 2 on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Speaking at the event, Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Salkyn Sarnogoeva welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation and highlighted the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan in the fields of media and culture.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sarnogoeva emphasized that mutual visits by journalists contribute to strengthening ties between the two nations. She noted the evolving landscape of media with the emergence of bloggers and influencers and the challenges posed by disinformation and fake news. Sarnogoeva called for closer cooperation between media organizations to address these issues.

The reception featured a cultural program where renowned Kyrgyz artists performed national music and dance pieces, showcasing Kyrgyzstan's cultural heritage. The media tour aims to acquaint Azerbaijani media representatives with Kyrgyzstan's tourism, cultural, and information potential.
