Baku:More than 14,000 foreign tourists have arrived in Baku for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, surpassing last year's figures.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the Baku City Circuit Operations Company confirmed that the number of foreign visitors this year slightly exceeds the 14,000 who attended during last year's race days.

Tourists from over 100 countries have traveled to Azerbaijan for the event, setting a new record for tourist arrivals in relation to the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Official statistics reveal that more than 80% of tickets last year were bought by foreign tourists, and each visitor typically spends over $2,200 during their stay.
