GARABAGH — The Sarsang Reservoir in Garabagh has reached its highest recorded water surface area in a decade, according to data provided by Azercosmos.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, that satellite image analysis from 2024 showed the reservoir’s surface area expanded to a record 1,065 hectares. This peak follows a decade of fluctuating levels, with continuous monitoring aimed at optimizing water resource management in Azerbaijan. The satellite analyses are part of ongoing efforts to ensure efficient utilization of the country’s rich water assets.
