Regional Energy Cooperation Enters New Phase with Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Project

Baku: "The feasibility study for the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor project has already been completed," said Inga Phaladze, Georgia's Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, at the Ministerial Plenary Session: International Cooperation for a Resilient and Diversified Energy Future. The session was part of the 31st Baku Energy Forum where Phaladze emphasized the advancement in regional energy cooperation.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Phaladze highlighted that the project aims to transmit 4,000 megawatts of energy, marking a new stage in energy collaboration among regional countries. She mentioned ongoing efforts to address technical and geophysical aspects of the project, which has been proposed for the status of a Project of Mutual Interest (PMI) by the European Union. This initiative is founded on regional cooperation and seeks to enhance energy source diversification as well as green energy development.
