The expert noted that although historically, bilateral ties have not been among the most intense in Europe, in recent years there has been a noticeable desire on the part of both Baku and Madrid to deepen cooperation.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, he emphasized that special attention is being paid to developing partnerships in areas such as tourism, digitalization, agriculture, and renewable energy. According to the expert, Spain views Azerbaijan as an important partner in the South Caucasus, while Baku views Madrid as a significant European Union member state with strong economic and technological potential.
