Remains of Missing First Karabakh War Martyr Rashadat Piriyev Laid to Rest in Barda District

Barda: The remains of Rashadat Piriyev, a serviceman and martyr from the First Karabakh War who had been missing, were solemnly buried in Yeni Dashkend village. The burial took place on May 22, as reported by APA's Karabakh bureau.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a farewell ceremony was organized for the martyr, attended by his relatives, servicemen, members of the public, and local residents. The remains were interred at the Yeni Dashkend cemetery, following a ceremony that featured a military orchestra performing the National Anthem and a traditional volley of gunfire.

Rashadat Piriyev, born in 1973 in Yeni Dashkend village of Barda district, went missing during battles in the Kalbajar direction during the First Karabakh War. He is the brother of Rashid Piriyev, the Chief of the State Traffic Police Department of the Baku City Main Police Department and a police colonel.

The remains of Rashadat Ali oghlu Piriyev were handed over to his family on May 22, as confirmed by APA's Karabakh bureau. The farewell ceremony and subsequent burial in the village cemetery were attended by a community that gathered to honor his memory and service.
